The brief my group and I will follow is the Music Video. We have decided to film a music video which we will be lip-syncing. The song is Nelly Furtado - I'm Like a Bird it is over 10 years old so I know that it is suitable to use.
The artists which are similiar to Nelly furtado are Gwen Stefani- Hollaback Girl. Gwen is a Solo artist which is also a singer/songwriter that produces pop music.

Technical issues
Unfortunately, due to technical issues of the video, we were unable to upload our ancillary task. There was a fault in the software as we were uploading our work. To make matters worse, we didn't have a back-up coy saved as we did not anticipate this happening. Digital technology can be very unreliable so we should have known to make a spare copy. This will be an experience to learn from in the future. This is a real shame because we would have loved to show you the video as it shows how much we have progressed using our editing and construction skills during the course.
On the other hand, the video we made was by Harry Nilsson- Lime and Coconut. We had one main character in our video who was lip syncing Harry Nilsson's words. The song is quite repetitive, so it was quite easy to learn and film. We had purchased a lime and a coconut from the shops and used them as our props in the video. We had our main character singing the verses, then in the middle and towards the end of the song we had a group of people escalating in the scenes, holding up the coconut and lime and dancing.
I am disappointed that the video couldn't be uploaded because it was a exciting video to create and watch. It was a performance and narrative based video,

Andrew Goodwins Theory
Andrew Goodwin uses various different features in music videos. This includes:

- Numerous close ups of the main artist or voalist.
- A link between the music and visuals - this could amplify or contradict the music.
- A link between the lyrics and visuals.
- Genre characteristics/genre related styles and iconagraphy.
- Voyeurism (this is the act of being sexually aroused while watching someone else engage in sexual behaviour. This is normally used in relation to females.
- Demand of the record label representation of the artist/ who the record label wants the video to appeal to.
- Multiple close-ups to put emphasise on the main people in the video and their emotions.
